Spoodville is a family hobby that we love to share with others through adoption and informative information on our website. While we all take part in caring for the spoods, only myself, Kirsten, tends to the administration and client services. Because of this, I request that you read through these terms and understand I am in the hobby and business of adopting out LIVE animals and am not a large company with "Amazon like" features or capabilities. I appreciate you taking the time to read through these terms.
All payments for your pet spider, accessories and enclosures will be made via my Business Venmo, Cashapp, Zelle or Google Pay. All payments include purchase protection.
I'd like to disclose that I do share your email address and telephone number with Ship Your Reptiles and FedEx. There may be a time that myself and/or the other parties need to contact you regarding shipment or incorrect tracking updates. I do not and will never use your information for any other purpose than this.
Upon arrival, your package will have a personal note to help walk you through the first few minutes of your box opening and it will include my personal phone number. You are welcome to use this number any time for any questions or concerns you may have. It is a direct line of communication between you and I to help you and your spider become accustomed to one another. Before arrival, please utilize email to contact me regarding your order, and more importantly, please correspond using the email you placed your adoption under. Please do not message me via Social media regarding your order. It is nearly impossible to keep track of orders on many different platforms with so many different names and user names. Please allow me up to 48 hours to respond to messages that do not pertain to immediate care of a spider in your possession.
All adoptions are insured from time of shipping until 2 weeks after arrival. Should your spider arrive DOA ( "dead on arrival" ~ very rare in my shipping methods ~ less than .05%) I will fully replace the spider within 2 weeks. I also insure the spider's health 2 weeks after delivery. There is a care sheet included in the delivery box. Please follow the steps on the care sheet and reach out via text if you have any immediate questions or concerns. Should your spider pass within 14 days of arrival, I will replace them within 2 weeks provided you followed the care instructions and remained in contact post arrival. You must contact me the same day and provide pictures of the spider and current setup. I am the only breeder in the industry with this type of insurance, please be honest and do not take advantage.
ANTICIPATED SHIP DATES
Approximate ship dates are listed at the time of your adoption. Many factors can delay shipments such as inclement weather, unforseen circumstances (family emergencies or abrupt change in schedule), a spider molting or a juvenile or older spider not eating prior to shipment. Safe shipping is my NUMBER ONE PRIORITY when getting spiders to you. If your shipment is delayed, it will be rescheduled for the next safest ship date.
CANCELLATIONS / RETURNS / REFUNDS
There are absolutely no cancellations, refunds or returns permitted. Scheduling will be deferred to a safe or later convenient time, or store credit will be given. Please understand this is the coordinating of shipments of live animals. I do not place products into boxes, I securely package live animals for long travels. Payment protection is included for your protection as my client and can be used if you feel the need to. But I personally do not accept the request for a cancellation or refund.
REFUSAL OF SERVICE
The "trend" of jumping spiders has brought in demanding clients that may not understand LIVE ANIMAL shipping and the dynamics of a small breeder family business. No paid employees work here. The family helps with "spoody duties" and I, Kirsten, manage all messages, social media and client care. I also make sure to ensure you're fully prepared by offering enclosures and feeders in one place, that I cultivate and create myself. There is a lot of work put in to make sure you, my client, and your spoods have a healthy and successful adoption. Any client that contacts me via email, social media, or text with rude and/or vulgar and inappropriate language will be refused service. Please remember to be kind in this world 🤗
